Eudunda Inspiration Point Loop
Have you ridden from Eudunda to Inspiration Point along Scenic Road? If not, add it to your bucket list!
At 54 kilometres with over 400 metres of climbing, this ride is at the upper limit of what I would normally schedule for the Uncool Cycling Club said Helen Dominish. However, our riders agree that it’s worth it!
The first 22 kilometres of this loop follows the Murray to Clare Lavender Cycling Trail out of Eudunda towards Inspiration Point. After Inspiration Point you enjoy a thrilling descent for six kilometres most of the way to Robertstown. From there, quiet dirt backroads lead you back to Eudunda.

Eudunda Southern Ridge Loop Trail
This 31 kilometre loop trail has great view and historic interest.
You begin the climb out of Eudunda on the Thiele Highway, reaching a gradient of 7% in places, it’s quite a steep start. However, the gradient flattens out on the tablelands with only very gradual climbs and lovely views.
As you decend into the Neales Flat area you are confonted with stunning views, well worth a photo or two. Visit historic Churches and Cemetery. Read the story on the Mount Bryan Expedition Monument commemerating a significant South Australian event that happened in 1839 before heading back to Eudunda for lunch and coffee.
