DESCRIPTION:Book Launch & History Talk\n\n\n\nPoint Pass Immanuel Lutheran Church 150th – 11th & 12th April 2026\n\n\n\nSaturday 11th April 20262pm for Book Launch & Historic Talk \, by Local Historian\, Samuel DoeringThe day will commence at 2pm in Immanuel Church\, and will include the launch of the book and a special performance by the Tanunda Liedertafel. \n\n\n\n\nRead about this new book here\n\n\n\n\nImmanuel Lutheran Church is turning 150! \n\n\n\nThanks to award-winning historian\, Samuel Doering\, we are excited to launch our anniversary book ‘There’s a Point to it.’ \n\n\n\nSince 1876\, Immanuel Lutheran Church has been a cradle for leaders\, thinkers and pioneers\, and is the birthplace of Immanuel College. This publication will reveal the powerful\, little-known history of one of South Australia’s most significant religious and educational sites. \n\n\n\nPoint Pass is a small place – but its story is anything but small! \n\n\n\nThe day will commence at 2pm in Immanuel Church\, and will include the launch of the book and a special performance by the Tanunda Liedertafel. \n\n\n\nAfternoon tea will be provided by donation\, and guests are welcome to explore the Church and cemetery\, and see a specially-curated display of historic items.

DESCRIPTION:Point Pass Immanuel Lutheran Church 150th – 11th & 12th April 2026\n\n\n\nCelebrating 150 Years at Point PassImmanuel Lutheran Church is turning 150! \n\n\n\nImmanuel will formally recognise 150 years of worship at Point Pass with a special Service of Thanksgiving. \n\n\n\nAt 9.30am\, guests are welcome to enjoy a cuppa and cake before the service. \n\n\n\nAt 10.30am\, the service will be held in Immanuel Church with Pastor Jacob Fabich leading the liturgy and Pastor André Meyer preaching. \n\n\n\nLunch will be available for donation after the service. \n\n\n\nA secondary launch of the anniversary book ‘There’s a Point to It’ will be held on the day.
